6800 series card: £99.82 inc VAT!

Hi all,
i found a bargain at OCUK: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...aGX_2d067_2dXF

It's a 6800 XT; 350Mhz core, 256mb 900Mhz memory, SLi support, 8 Pipelines. Not bad if you're looking for a 6800 series card without spending too much.

Experiences on the company seem to be mixed, I have ordered 5 items form them over the £100 mark, all of these were without problem. When I made a £30 purchase from them I had to wait about two weeks with little to no communication from them.

That's not the problem, its if you ever have a problem with an item. The only means to contact them is by phone, which is perma-engaged(!?!)

Essentially they are the Halfords of the UK computer industry.

The XT should be avoided TBO.

Sorry, you're completely right.

I was thinking 8 pipe NV40, rather than 16 pipe NV40. XT/GT naming is getting confusing lol.

Well i've ordered a few items from OCUK without problem. But if you're just after a budget 6800 series, it's not too bad. But personally, i'm gonna save up and get a 6800GT or GTX. Price isn't too bad on them and when the 7900 is released, i expect it'll go down even further.

I'm gonna do the same as you wait a while then buy some new hardware. A 6800GT looks tempting

errr i have a few dealing with them and all contact was via e-mail (none of it was there fault) first contact was when i made my order for my pc i bought some bits because i was fed up with waiting for others to get in stock, the very next day there were in stock i mailed them they changed the order and despatched it that day.

Next Issue was with my axim, on there site they said it would be avaliable within 1-3 days so i ordered it, a few days went past and i chased up whether it had been dispatched yet or not, i get a quick reply to say there isnt any in stock anywhere in this country and that dell has promised them a delivery by a certain date. on that date they apologise to say its doing a magical tour around europe and they are tracking it and for some reason its going from ireland to uk to paris to belgium, norway before finaly getting back to the uk.

Then they mail me when its finaly got there and let me know it would be with me tomorrow which it was.

The item went faulty quickly so i mailed them again and they put me in contact with dell and gave me all the numbers i needid to get it sorted with them (who were then completly useless) ocuk also said if i had any trouble with them get in touch and they'll use there swing to sort it out.

https://contact.overclockers.co.uk/ <- use the forms on there to contact them electronically

Heh, I had a monitor that was DOA. Emailed them three times through that form, no answer. Finally rung them after three weeks...
