| 24" widescreen LCDs (UK) Prices appear to have dropped recently: Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor for £516.99: http://overclockers.co.uk/showproduc...odid=MO-009-DE Acer 24" LCD AL2423W Widescreen Monitor, 1000:1, Silver/Black, 6ms for £539.00: http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=322763 (brighter than the Dell 24", so worth the extra?)

| For gaming it can make a difference, given that resolution options can be limited in some games. The 1280 height does make all the difference there, you can make use of 1600 x 1200 which is often supported.

19" widescreen, 5ms, 1440x900. For £130, you can't go wrong! And, why is the price difference so big between 19" and 24" ?

| Dell 2407 4TW The 1920x1200 is brilliant. It costs a fair bit, but really is worth every last cent. <currently saving up for my second one>

| ocuk now want £540.49 for the dell again abit cheaper now, dell on the other hand want £716 for it :O |

| Mine's going back for RMA in a couple of days. Its a nice setup though, the new one is shipped to you by courier, and its a 1 for 1 swap at your door. The composite input doesn't work, neither does the S-Video, and the image isn't perfect.

| ocuk buy from dell in bulk using a business account so get things cheaper than home users can get. If dell's price goes up so does ocuk's. I'm guessing its age old supply / demand, dell doesnt have many of these parts and keeps running low on them as tbh they're not worth £500! Yes its a high res panel but you can get a 32" decent branded lcd tv for that sort of money with similar inputs if not more. You just have to live with 1366x768! |
