Does this mean that Logitech lied to me? I bought two "Optical' mice built by Logitech, and they're not wireless.

Danged sensitive they are, they take some getting used to. One "idling" red LED, one bright "I'm working, master" red LED. Is there an invisible ball hiding in these mice? Inquiring nerd would like to know.

www.howstuffworks.com will explain how an optical mouse works.

Great site if you ask me.
Basicaly the mouse has a built in camera that takes about 1500 picures a second (if I remember correctly) and compairs the taken picture to the last taken picture. Then it will determine how much the mouse moved from that.
