xp install

hi,is theyre a way to install from the hard drive like 2k by copying the i386 folder ,thanks

Could you be more specific? I am not familiar with win 2k but I did just do a fresh install of win XP.

Upgrading to XP from HDD is easy & loads quicker than from CD. Copy most of the CD to a separate partition (ideally) and run "Setup" from your existing OS. (see also sticky Win XP FAQ)

I tried - and failed - to Clean Install from HDD-1 onto bare HDD-0. Although it says it offers the choice of destination partition letter, it didn't give me the choice of destination drive / volume.

Clean install from bootable CD is easy, too....
