AOpen CRW4850 and Win XP

Hi i just got the AOpen CRW4850.
And i installed it rigth away (the hardwar) set the jumper to slave since i got my dvd on the same IDE cable on master.
So i start up my comp go into WinXp and, well its not there.
Worried i didnt connect all cables i restarted and check the bootup check and it was there, also checked bios and its there.
So now i wonder why WinXp Pro SP1 doesnt find it!

maybe any one can help ?

there were no drivers in the box and on the hp i dont find any either.

i got a Epox 8kha+ AMD 1700+ 512 DDr ram.
i got 2 HHDs running over the Primary IDE chan and the DVD(Master) with the Burner(Slave - and its not showing under WinXP) on the Secondary IDE

plz help !!!

Welcome to AOA Forums, Gladi!

Your HDD with the OS should be the Primary Master. XP can be APITA about recognizing CD Drives. There's a trick to slapping the OS to make it fly right with CD Drives.
