| ESS support in Linux Alright, here's the deal, I have an el cheapo Compaq in the basement. It uses an ESS integrated sound solution. Linux doesn't detect it. I can't play mp3's. My dad wants me to delete my webserver and install Windows98 if I can't get the sound working. I don't know the exact number of the sound, it's like ESS 1868 or something like that. Does anyone have any ideas. I'm running Mandrake 8.
