XP won't load, but ME did :(

I came home Fri to find my hsf lying in the bottom of the case, the socket lug had broke. My 1900+ did not even appear used much less burned, I picked up a new one on Sat, as well as the soyo Dragon. After 4 trips to the store (I found that the PSU was toast as well, and got a faulty mobo the first and second time, RMA's I think) I finally got a working system.
I have a full 98CD/MECD/2k upgrade/XP PRO upgrade/
I loaded ME, then loaded XP, it goes through the first reboot in setup, and crashes w the normal XP BSOD, if you can help I'd be gratefull!!!

Soyo Dragon SY-K7V
2 40's using the promise raid on the mobo

I have tried deleting all temp setup files and reinstalling, as well I've tried all different setup options.

TX again!

Try an old trick, take out all cards except video and if ya can turn off the raid controller. Then try to install xp and see if it will run and if it does install one card at a time. Another thing to try is when it asks for a "third party raid or scsi driver" during installation use a disk with the drivers for the raid controller on it to give xp the proper drivers.
