changing hard drive icons in xp pro

i'd love it if someone could give me a step by step walkthrough on doing it.

i found some really nice icons online and would love to use them.

I'm not sure I understand your problem? The instructions seem pretty straight-forward to me?

i have a very cool harddrive icon.....if u use yahoo messenger....whats ur name on there?
mine is colecash3000@yahoo, i can give u the icon through there and u can try it out...and then, walk me through doing it.

PS. i don't exactly understand what they mean by "putting it in the root of the drive"....thats whats really throwing me off.

root drive means like if your xp is installed on the C drive, then C:\ is the root of the drive...the upper most portion of the directory structure.

You can also use StyleXP to change all the default icons on your computer.
