£130 !!!! Get lost M$

Im not please, not pleased at all..

I was running a old copy of works99 for word processing and stuff.
Unfortunately ive lost the damned CD. (i think my ex-housemate has nicked it)

So I thought "thats Ok, ill just buy the latest version"

The student licence is £130 for works 2002.

So I need to get my hands on a cheaper version.

Does anybody know somewhere reliable in the UK that would sell a copy for around the £30 mark, I dont care id its an old version as long as it works on win2k.

P.S. it has to be M$ as my mum can only use word and Exel, and i dont want to have to teach her to use another porgramm, IT literate she is not.

Yeah! Buy the magazine "Micro Mart" I seem the remmebe a couple of years ago there was some people advertising in there selling second hand M$ software. I got a copy og VB 3.0 PRO for like £14. (latest version was 5 then) so I think you should be able to find something similar.

Or, if you find someone who got one bundled with their machine - buy it off em!

Next time I'm up at work (if it's not too late) I'll see if I can grab you one from one of the review machines, but I dunno when that will be. After march I would have thought :S

I used to buy micro mart all the time before I got online.
Since then there has been little point.

WHen I read it now I realise how badle informed I was when I wasnt online.
