Take Gspot from here: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ and see what's the name of the needed codec and after that you might try here to see if you find your codec: http://www.fourcc.org/codecs.php
Cheers mate! hope you solve your problem!

virtualdub has it's own internal Motion JPEG CODEC, which might allow you to convert it.
Morgan Multimedia have a Motion JPEG CODEC too, which is free for 60days.

Motion JPEG is kinda old now though. It basically compressed each frame as a JPEG file and then stored the JPEGs together in a file. Some of the old hardware capture systems would use hardware MJPEG to limit the amount of data that had to flow from the card to a more reasonable rate.

I had tested with Gspot before posting and it's saying like I have 4 codecs that could handle the file. Problem is that when starting the file with a player other than Divx player is just showing a mira like a tvstation that can't broadcasts and has the colours nice all over the screen. On the other hand when attempting to play with divx player it's saying that this file is coded using fourCC MJPG codec and that I might have to install a new codec to be able to see the file. So all in all only Divx is smart enough to see that the codec isn't there. I uninstalled some of the codecs in order to make sure that the codecs are not conflicting with eachh other and still no go.

Thanks for your answers.
