change default application to open url File:\\

Hi,
How can I change default application to open url File:\\xyz. I am using web application that uses files on file server and points to different folders in there via file:\\xyz. I do not want exporer to pop up every time but instead other file commander (totalcmd).
Any ideas?

Go to My Computer --> Tools --> Folder options --> File Types tab --> find the file extention you are looking for and change the program association. You can do it from any My Computer window.

I don't need to change file extention assocation. But folder one. I thing I will need to amend settings in Folder and File folder but not sure in what way..
