I've had mine for about a month, haven't yet installed it, or know to much about programming, but though it was to good to pass up. Also have a copy of wefly247 which is basically teaching you how to use it. It may even have visual studio as well, not sure though.

Infact I have one of everything they have for 'evaluation'

I'm all over it!
I woke up at 4am this morning and couldn't sleep, so I started doing tutorials for it.
I'm new to C# programming but it will pay off to make my own games.

VS 2005 is a VAST improvement over VS.NET and VS 2003, IMO. That said, I still prefer VS 6. And I personally think C# is a waste of time. But that's just me. Most of the industry is moving that direction.

I'm totally new to this programming thing. I just watched a tutorial and I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the code.
But I'm excited to start learning. Its going to take me a year to feel comfortable and competent in C# code.

Actually, C# itself (the language) shouldn't be that much of an issue for you, if you have any experience or aptitude for programming. What will really bake your noodle is wrapping your head around the inheritance model for the objects in the .NET platform.

The only coding experience I have is in actionscript.
I've been doing flash for several years and have learned to do audio, video and interactive animation. I've read lots of tutorials too.
I was about to create my first game in flash and then found out about the Visual Studio Express and XNA...
So now I'm starting from scratch.
I have noticed some similarities though
like: using "this" and "if" "else" variables
I'm familiar with embedding stuff and external referencing stuff...

If you make a flash game, we might be able to put it in the arcade......

XNA, if i knew how to do things like this then i'd get involved but at the moment, i'm mapping for CS:S. Very easy to do and looks awesome. My current map even has support for bots without them running into the barriers i've put up. They even climb the ladders i've put up. I think i'm gonna work on a Doom3 style map next, lots of metal grill walkways and red lights .

This is for Visual Studio Express. Its free from Microsoft and from what I have read, it is limitted compared to Visual Studio 2005.
I thinks its like the Elements version of Photoshop.
