dvd copy software question.

I recently got a DVD burner, and now i want to make backup copies of a couple movies i have, but they have copy protection. I currently have nero express, which came with the burner, but it will not copy these movies because if the protection....is there any software that i can get that will copy these movies, or am i just out of luck on this one.

According to my understanding, bypassing the copy protection is in violation of the DMCA. Sorry, but that means that this thread doesn't go any further. I know it's kinda stupid when you're just trying to make a backup copy for yourself too.
