| Help with e-mail set up. Hey guys, I have an unussual problem and I need some help. I work on a boat offshore. We have a Satalite internet conection and phone system through Data Tech Solutions. Everyone on the boat that is not set up with a @nospam_caldive.com address uses an IMAP email service. Those with official @nospam_caldive.com have to log into a VPN client in order to send or receive email. When logged into the VPN other IP functions won't work. IE: no web browesing. This works fine with one exception. The Client represenitive (the guy who pays for all of this) has his own company and company website. His ISP is Cox.com. He also has a POP3 account at whatever his website name is. He can receive mail from his POP3 account from his business. However when he trys to send email through his POP3 account he gets an error message saying that routing to 'whatever@whereever.com' is not allowed on this server. He also has a personal @bellsouth.net POP3 email account and he gets the same thing with that. The Supervisor has tried to send email with his own personal POP3 account and runs into the same thing with the VPN not connected. With the VPN connected he can neither send nor receive from his personal POP3 account. I have also recreated the problem on 2 other computers on the boat. We are 99% sure that the boats ISP is blocking us from sending through a POP3 account. What the client has been doing so far is receiving his email on his POP3 account and then when he needs to respond he copies and paste and uses a free IMAP account. But then people reply to his free IMAP account. Now he is in business and wants to keep all of his emails. He uses Eudora as an email client. Is there a way that he can set up an IMAP account then have his email client receive email from both his POP3 account and IMAP account and save it to his computer and make it easy for him to back it up and save it. Then let him send email through the IMAP account and have the from on his emails be his POP3 account so that when people reply they reply to that account? Also what IMAP servives suport this. Free would be best, but a fee base service could be considered. Thanks in advanced.
