| See this thread for some interesting information on how effective AV products are. From a pure security point of view, using just one AV product isn't enough to prevent malware/spyware/viruses/trojans. Instead, the recommendation would be to use two or three AV products. Back in the real world, you need to understand that no AV product can pick up all the threats to your machine. Things like using little resources are not useful if the AV product lets too many things through! I know this doesn't answer your question, but hopefully you'll see that it's not quite that simple.

| I use McAfee and Ad-Aware SE Professional, and so far i have had no problems.

| I would purchase AVG Full Edition as it has more features for thorough virus searching and email scanning.

| Well i only have the free edition but if you want some more protection i would get the full edition.
