The best antivirus

Which antivirus do you recommend (less resources, more efficiency)?

See this thread for some interesting information on how effective AV products are. From a pure security point of view, using just one AV product isn't enough to prevent malware/spyware/viruses/trojans. Instead, the recommendation would be to use two or three AV products.

Back in the real world, you need to understand that no AV product can pick up all the threats to your machine. Things like using little resources are not useful if the AV product lets too many things through!

I know this doesn't answer your question, but hopefully you'll see that it's not quite that simple.

Best AV is, turn the power off. This is 100% effective and uses no resources!

Yep, I'm using AVG as well. BTW, andreicosminus, you know that you can purchase AVG through AOA? Click on the AVG icon in my sig for more info!

I would purchase AVG Full Edition as it has more features for thorough virus searching and email scanning.

honestly, I would not steer you wrong....I have never contracted a virus through email that it did not catch or by downloading that is did not warn me to delete the item....This is after years of use...
