I'm trying to find where in Fedora...?

I want to turn on file location reporting. Perhaps it was Unbantu, but it seems I had this feature in Fedora... Like the browser window that reports the link address your at.

It was very useful in cutting and pasting as well as learning how Linux expresses a file's particular location. It was visible in the top heading of a folder....?

I'd actually recommend you have a look around the filesystem, using cd to change directories, and ls to view the files in that directory.

So that you know, there is a command in the terminal window that will tell you what directory you are in, to test this, open a terminal and type this:

pwd

now, that should give you something like /home/Daniel/

pwd stands for Present Working Directory, so its easy to remember.

When I get back on one of my machines ill look into your other question though (im on uni winxp machine atm)
