a couple of days ago , my computer has start to give me "generic host 32 encountered problem and need to be closed" , then my connection to internet fail. i've install no program for a long time and didn't changed no setting ,
is this some kind of virus ?
(OS win xp pro sp2)

edit : if i don't close it , i can still work somehow but not good, but if i close this error window , the transfering will go off, but the icon will remain.

Having a look around looks like it may be spyware.

Seems a decent check, and a windows update has fixed all the others with the same problem I have found, bar 1. That was fixed by removing the new driver they installed and installing an older version.

Install Spybot, and Adaware - update.
Make sure you have an antivirus, updated.
Reboot into safe mode
Run scans delete all spyware
Update windows

If you have installed a new driver, download the prevous version - remove new driver (using drivercleaner from AOA files), install older version.
