LOL. You sure you're using linux?? J/K.. I have to reboot. BRB..

Edit: I'm back. Check Screenshot attached. Commands are in the terminal. /etc/X11/xorg.conf has to be there or you won't have a desktop next time you reboot

First test locked up in Quake 4. I forgot to disable Beryl. Second test....WOW! LOL

My BEST water cooled W2K 8800GTS settings 657/1.04

My ONLY available (will only accept the input from the "Test for best Settings" other wise Apply button remains inactive.)

Quake4 runs beautifully! not a sign of artifact, stall or breakup. Many thanks Cliff, dsio andRedroar... how patient you've been. ":O

I think thats an intentional failsafe.

It can still be forced on boot, just not that way.

Think this may have do with the issue I mentioned to Dsio earlier in the thread about not being able to save to file.

When you find the OC you want to run that is when you add the lines with the 2D and 3D Clocks to the nvidia-settings-rc file. It will then boot with the clocks specified in the rc file..

Whoa! You really did have a plan! LOL Can you select your O/C? I can only test for it and accept the results.

I can save for one session, upon reboot or logging off the OC is gone if I just use nvidia settings, the rc file boots with whatever numbers I put in it..

I will do a little testing and see if I can duplicate the problem.

I've been recovering data most of the day from last nights user error. Almost finished up, then I can boot back into Fedora.
