What is happening is that anything not under the GPL will not be allowed to use GPLonly symbols in the kernel. It will affect much more than nvidia drivers.
For those that need a reference model to work with, there are a couple of select individuals deciding what is best for us in the way we use our computers. (They don't work for nvidia)
Given what I'seen over the last year in Linux and what I expect to see this year, my avatar will most likely change. I wouldn't be testing Vista if I didn't feel it may turn out to be a better alternative. |
Seems more than fair, epecally as this is what is leading many to try Linux! ":O}
If the Game devs "ARE" saying "Hang up PC Gaming, our talents belong to the Consoles" Then "What has Vista got to offer beyound Games to the average user? That a any of several distros don't offer for free?" is a question a lot of people should be asking...in as much as it's looking like MS had a good deal to do with the death of pc gaming...(If indeed that is what we are seeing..?)
