Yea, this really did annoy the hell outa me!!!
This is one of the first features of Vista I turned off!

After installing Vista, I then started to install software and I really hated being asked over & over & over & over if I really wanted to install it and to allow it...RRRR!!!
If I didn't want to install it I wouldn't have clicked on the install.exe... Duh!

Anyways, I hope with all the negative feedback that Vista has received as a resource hog (from me too) that the next version 7 will have cut the fat so to speak and gotten it to run more like XP their most successful OS to date!
According to early reports, this is exactly what they are leaning towards in version 7.
Even Windows Secrets is suggesting to hold on to XP till version 7 and to just bypass Vista if you haven't already got it...
