I guess this is something which could backfire on them. Setting up in competition with their customers - other retailers.

So now when someone buys something from a MS store directly, then have a target to go back to when they get really pissed off at the company... LOL
I can just see someone with a handful of rocks chucking them at the storefront window because they can't activate their copy of Windows 7!
