Dual boot problem I tried to install XP on an IDE drive for a dual boot and it would't install correctly. at first boot, it would say a boot file was missing or corrupt and to re install it. this happened three times so I dissconnected the sata drive and tried to install again. this time there was no "press key to start from cd" so it automatically started to install. On first boot it went into a loop-if the cd was left in it would start to install again. if I pulled the cd, it would start a boot cycle-rebooting over and over.
I just repaired the Win 7 boot and here I am. Any one have an idea why XP wouldn't install?
