xp desktop taskbar

My desktop taskbar has always been on the bottom of my desktop. It has now mysteriously moved to the top. I have looked in properties, etc. and see no way to move it to bottom. Help??

If what Daniel suggested doesn't work, you probably have your taskbar locked. To unlock it, just right-click on it and you'll get a pop-up menu. Make sure that 'Lock the Taskbar' is not checked. Then try moving it again, by dragging it back to where you want it.

Desktop taskbar

I had already unlocked the task bar and tried to drag it. It still will not drag. All I can do is put the cursor on the bottom edge of the tool bar and it will expand the toolbar to about 1/2 the page down, but the tool bar will not go to the bottom. ???

Put the tip of the cursor in the middle of the bar, hold down the left mouse button, and whilst keeping the button held down, move the cursor to the lower half of the screen.

It won't actually drag, but should suddenly jump to the bottom.
