Windows 7 fails to stop Mac's web growth

Microsoft continues to fall backwards - see front page:

Windows XP is still the dominating version of Windows.

This is like everyone preferring to drive a 10 year old car, even when the new model is free.

You know if you punish a dog by hitting him on the head to many times, even if you don't hit him hard, he becomes what is known as head shy... I think a lot of windows users are just head shy...

Would you prefer a 10 year old BMW or a brand new free Yugo?
I think that's more the comparison here.

If your applications run fine in XP, and you have only 100 desktops to support, why would you upgrade to Windows 7 at this point? Currently Windows XP will continue to have security patches until April 2014.

Assuming that driver support for XP continues until then, if you had 100 desktops, you might well be better off waiting for the next version of Windows after 7 perhaps?
