Bull! I go into the thing, get it going, then decide it's taking too long and I close it. So then I go back in again, and this time it stalls on me. So I go End Task. Then when I go back in, it tells me my key is invalid as soon as it opens.

Bull! Do NOT use End Task to close the program.

Haha my most used keystrokes in windows are format c:/q

Seriously though it was a legit release? If so what is it supposed to fix? I wouldnt install it on any machine I care about until I know exactly what to expect.

From a little bit I had seen is it won't let #arez versions update anymore :nervous:

According to M$ it's only a collection of all the patches/updates since XP was released, someone probably tried to collect them and repackage them...

As long as you have run windows update you wouldn't need this.

i installed xpsp1: v.1081 and it doesn't say "for test purposes only" on the desktop anymore. may this version be the final one?

I don't think so since there is a 1089 version out. The 1089 might be the last one. Since they have to get it out to the OEMs and the expected release date is 10/8/02, I would think SP1 is finished by now.
