| SnoopDOS I've been having a great game of "hunt-the-library" lately, trying to get my lovely Linux computer to install a few new programs. It's great: the libraries are there, the symlinks are there, but the program can't see the libraries. Have no idea where the program's looking, either.
The last computer I used that made me play this fun and exciting game was my old Amiga, and for that there was a wonderful tool called "SnoopDOS", which would track which program was looking for which file, when and why, and whether it found it or not. That way, missing libraries, files and duff bits of disc were easily identified. Is there anything similar for Linux? I checked the SnoopDOS homepage, and there's no i386 linux version to be had
Help spare my failing sanity!!!
