Recording net radio...
Evening all,

What software can I use to record streaming internet radio on the PC?
I'm using Winamp 5 to listen to a particularly good dance station in London, XTC.Radio.London if you are interested.
I'd like to capture some mixes to playback later. Any ideas?

is that even legal to do?

That's a good question. In the States, it is legal to record free-air broadcasts for your own use. I dunno about Internet broadcasts, nor do I know how that works in the UK.

It's a grey area. You're allowed to record things from the radio or TV, but legally you're only supposed to listen to, or watch the recording once then destroy it. It's not a point that gets pressed especially hard, though, since people recording movies from TV and keeping them ad infinitum has gone on for decades without upsetting any parties concerned.

I can use the software which came with my Audigy card to record live feeds etc.
