| SUSE Linux and some useful places Hey all.. I thought I would post a couple of the places that I use a lot in keeping my SUSE version of linux up to date and looking good.. I use kde as my windows manager so: To keep it looking nice with wallpapers, themes, icons and such forth: www.kde-look.org For appilications in kde : www.kde-apps.org for rpms especially multimedia: PackMan.Links2Linux.org For understanding and using RPMs in SUSE: linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ And the unofficail SUSE FAQ: http://susefaq.sourceforge.net/ And if your are folding, as you know you SHOULD be, I posted a mini-faq here at AOA a little while back that talks about the program that lets you reduce the cpu usage. More as I think/find them.. Adolph |

| NVIDIA System Utility [Modified for 8RDA3+ R.3.1] NVIDIA System Utility Version: 1.08.5 Release Date: March 31, 2004 Link: http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility.html I have modified 'nvsuoem.ini' for my 8RDA3+ Rev.3.1, so that i can use the hidden 'Overclocking - Advanced' page. First save the original 'nvsuoem.ini' to 'nvsuoem.ini.ORG' __________________________________________________ _____________ Before the modification limited Key Features for my 8RDA3+ Rev.3.1 * Voltage and bus speed monitoring: Track actual motherboard voltages, bus speeds, and CPU core speed to ensure safe and correct settings. * Temperature and fan speed monitoring: Real-time monitoring of CPU and system temperatures to prevent hardware damage. * Dynamically adjustable bus speeds: On-the-fly overclocking of critical busses without a reboot and without the potential of BIOS corruption. * Dynamically adjustable voltages and fan speeds: Adjust motherboard voltage levels without a reboot, as well as dynamically control fan speeds * System hardware and software information: Provide version information for critical hardware components, platform drivers, and DIMM SPD. ADVANTAGES: now you can use the hidden 'Overclocking - Advanced' page with this options: * Dynamically adjustable memory timings: Change critical memory timings without rebooting and without entering the BIOS. * Windows-based BIOS interface: Access and adjust key BIOS settings from Windows without directly entering the BIOS at boot time. * Profile management: Save, import, and export specific overclocking or BIOS profiles. ___________________=My Modified 'nvsuoem.ini' for EPoX-8RDA3+ Rev.3.1=______________________ ************************************************** ****** Warning: Manipulating this file may result in the NVIDIA System Utility failing to operate properly.
