| Did they really think they could launch by "flooding all cargo bays sir!" Someone please tell it was just a miscalulation in exacution and not the plan itself that got them there....God Bess'em! LOL

| How do you explain that to your insurance coverage? And what do you do when they say that stupidity isn't covered? I forsee a new disclaimer in next years SUV manuals "Warning! Do not atempt to launch a personal water craft directly from the cargo area of this vehicle" And all the rest of us will look at that disclamer and wonder if anyone has really tried that.

| Oh man! That's one thing about disclaimers... they wouldn't have them if some one had not done it before. You see some funny stuff at boat launches. I once saw some guys boat roll off the trailer at the top of the ramp where they turned around. They even had the outdrive down, in fact I think that's what kept the boat from sliding any further. I know they were having a bad day since moments before they had asked my dad if he knew how to hotwire a boat because they forgot the keys at home.

| That's pretty bad but doesn't come close to what I witnessed about 12 years ago. Friends and I had launched a 14 foot speed boat into the Delaware river about 30 miles north of Philadelphia,Pa. No problems on our end . We saw two guys back their 28-30 foot airstream mobile home(the big silver , rounded type) with a tiny little 18 footer speedboat (tiny because it had a big ol' V-8 engine to push it), anyway someone forgot to set the parking brake and the whole thing (mobile home and boat on the trailer) went slooooooowly into the water, Took them about 3 hours to pull it out , first 1 tow truck snapped a chain , then two big rig tow trucks where hooked together side-by-side and slowly pulled the whole mess out. Luckily no one was hurt. bob
