| The sax was a birthday gift from my parents yesterday (Im 16 now). Its a "Monique" (I had never heard of it either), French design Japanese built. Sounds pretty nice, not too happy with the mouthpiece, be getting a Selmer C* hopefully. It has a nice variety of sound. but I wont know much until I can bring home my C* mouthpiece off my school bari, since I only have reeds that are waaay too stiff for the mouthpiece. it'll have a good jazz sound once I get reeds to match methinks. but it came without a neck screw, (parents got it off of e-bay) so I went to a music shop and ended up having a ligature screw shortened to fit (apparently its an odd sized thread). The sax looks simply amazing, and the case is beautiful to match. makes me think its possessed or something, lol.
