| Project: Video Streaming Server Hey. I've been given a budget of about £5000, to build and implement a Video streaming server across our LAN. For those of you who don't know I work in a secondary school in the UK. There has been funding for digital projectors to be installed in lots of classrooms across the 2 sites here. The idea of the video server project is to input all the video tapes we have around the school onto the mass storage on the video server, and also to input and record digital tv broadcasts, then to be able to offer them for streaming over the LAN to the machines with the digital projectors, and as a wider project, to offer the clips for streaming over the internet so teachers can view them when preparing lessons at home. I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on the hardware/software required for this sort of set up. Conrad
