Question

The Doors.....does that imply you're a huge Jim Morrison fan?

Talking

ever seen the Doors cafe in Amsterdam? they have a HUGE hand painted mural of Jim on the wall there...very cool. I'm still looking for 1 of the 5000 copies of the leatherbound Lords and the New Creatures...I guess you could say I'm a Doors fan, yes, hehe

If you ever get a chance to go back over there, go to the HUGE flower festival they have there. Its called Keukenhoff (spelling?) Flowers for as far as you can see...its amazingly beautiful. The Doors Cafe will be around for a good while too, I can't imagine someone tearing down a mural like that.

Cool

I spent nearly 5 years living in Holland during the USAF years. Lived a 15 minute bike ride from A-dam. I can tell you it's just like the movies in places. It's probably the strangest place I've ever been. You know they don't eat much beef over there? I ate horse, ostrich, and kangaroo....I wish I'd known before I ate it (all 3 were actually....good...eek!)

Now I understand...LOL
Anyone at the NATO or NSA base in Naples?

Amsterdam is really a crazy place, and I like it very much, from some point of view is like Naples; I still remember a restaurant in Haarleem called Bonanza where they do all the kind of meat on barbeque, but I hope was only Cow & Pork

Well, for 1 Guilder (about 65 cents) you could step inside a plexiglass phone booth with fans on either side and try to last 30 seconds. Unless you're super-lung, you'll fade around 15 seconds...I've seen ppl come out nearly dead, hehe. Definitely worth the money though

The meat thing was because in Holland, like a lot of european countries, beef is pretty expensive, so they serve 'alternative meats' like kangaroo and horse.

As for the 1/4 mile long jibbie? man, its something you have to see to believe...its insane
