No wonder Daniel gets annoyed.
Firstly, you must think I'm some sort of lame-ass. Obviously not everybody in America has the same roots, obviously some people are going to made up of hundreds of nationalities. But, at the beginning, it was mostly English and other Europeans.
Secondly, you say that it's the basis of your argument. But your arguement is about stealing from Native Americans, is it not? Not remembering your roots from other Countries? Sure, tell me if I've totally missed it.
The reason I said what I said is I find it often frustrating about this American Patriotism. It seems, so much important facts are overlooked and forgotten.
Kids wave their stars and striped, Adults sing a long to the National Anthem.
But how many really know, respect, are thankful for, their roots?
In England, most kids know the name "Anglo-Saxon". My name I have been told is Anglo-Saxian. We know we were once Celts, Romans, Saxons, Anglicans.
But if you asked an American kid in say, New York, where his roots were, would he know?
Again, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't really know, I'm just not convinced.

Could you just be a little nicer to people? It doesn't take much, but the second somebody posts an opinion yuo don't like, it's time to eat them alive.
The tone of your posts just doesn't seem friendly at all to me, correct me if I'm wrong.
I wasn't trying to be rude, in fact, I stated the post in a manner I believed would show I meant no offense.
I apologize.

About you and Daniel.
No matter how crude Daniel rubs off, just read and pay attention anyway, he is not trying to be mean, he just wants to state his opinion where you'll be sure and read it.
If you think about it really hard, his points are just and are certainly factual.
He is wise, you and I just have a long time to realize it.
Just chill, you don't actually have to participate in these debates.
I do it for the learning experience, everytime I learn someone else's side, I know more, and have insight into the workings of someone else's mind.

Actually, I think there are times he IS trying to be mean, though not from malice. He's simply trying to make you THINK. There are times he's had me so mad I could chew chain and spit nails. I once had to calm down for three days before I dared respond to one of his posts.

Daniel and I don't always see eye to eye, and sometimes we are on about opposite sides of the planet, but he DOES make me think.

Well i haven't read most of what's been posted since after mine but i have to say daniel thanks for not shooting off at me so to speak

The thing is i have grown up literally where most of these people are and either they are friend and really couldn't care less about thier past(kind of like me except what happened was more or less the other way around). But there are people who whinge not because of what was done to people in the past but to get attention and something for free. There are of course those who actually have good intentions but it's hard to seperate them from the other's.....

I know about the japanese showing up in darling harbour and all that just not in great detail and why, it's not really a lack of education but a lack of motivation and interest on the subject of history. but to be honest most of what we were taught at school was about captain cook(all the great thing's about him of course).

For some reason captain cook is all i really remember learning in history they just seemed to force it right into you and not bother with much else

You won't find much chain within a 30 mile radius of my house...
you will find an excess of nails with my spit on them though...

Well said Gizmo -
The man's method is sometimes hard to take but he makes one think, he does

(please take note that this is my first post in this topic - Though, I have been reading it daily)

Bingo!

"He who knows not and knows not that he knows not, is a fool, shun him.

He who knows not and knows that he knows not is a child teach him.

He who knows but knows not that he knows is asleep, awaken him.

He who knows and knows that he knows is wise follow him."

It's is my belief, however unsubstanceated, that I am called to assist the young and the sleepy. The young require repetition, the sleepy need a bit of excitement.

However...(There's always a "however" isn't there.)

This makes me no more certain in my movement nor exact in my timing than anyone else who has a calling and takes it seriously.

This brings to mind, or it lest it should, the question of weather or not I'm being manipulative. (Hey! we HAVE to ask, right?)

I submit that I am not. Inherent in all movement is directionality. To attempt to accomplish my task I need only use what is or what I set in motion. What seeks to be dealt with presents itself. I try to respond truthful to what presents itself.I take my directionality from what presents itself. This thread a case in point.

Do I try to piss people off? No need for that! LOL

Anytime you deal with subject matter people feel strongly about, emotions play a part. Sometime they assist sometimes they obstruct my effort. Sometimes emotions are absent when they really shouldn't be.

No one approach works for all, at lest not for me. Do I disregard the likely emotional response...at times.

But I'd rather not say more on that.

But most of the time, I'm just here trying to enjoy myself like most others.

This is all something I find difficult to talk about. issues of ego and credentials, ability all come into question.

Just bear in mind that I've never said I was any good at this, just that I feel an obligation to try...I do understand what I am doing, even when I don't know what I am doing.":O}

That is pretty much what I said, except for the he is mean part, but not being malice is also not mean in nature.

Later that day, the story changed. The revised version is that the Republicans had the easy opportunity and the motive to tamper with the popular vote as recorded by the voting machines in Ohio. Which are owned by company's with a clear Republican bias.

This was all done to seize even more power and wealth for themselves without regard to the masses.

Thing is this isn't just restricted to Americans and Native Americans, It started with civilization itself and continues on to this very day.

So why are we wasting our time and energy discussing and arguing about who is at fault?
This may seem strange to you but there a basically two reasons to do so...

1. It's OUR FAULT this time. In case that doesn't matter to you...
2. As I pointed out We're on top where we can. We won't always be.Where ever you put a man, men will end up.

Nature supports only the strong and the lucky. Your point of view while descriptive of animals; is a disgrace to mankind and her hopes of progress.

But then your were more after an emotional response from me rather than a reasoned one dealing with this problem I suspect.

Should my assumption be correct, you may want to review weather to score a point of annoyance with me was worth throwing Americans First people to the dogs...in this debate.

Indeed you throw the weak to the dogs where ever they might be, it's only natural to oppress and murder them, so why ask about their fate?

I've waited to give you time to re-consider, use it as best you might.

BTW, your historically incorrect concerning our Governments action and their motivations. In this case the Government and fear by white of the Indians had very little to do with it. The pressure for new wealth and land came from the bottom and influenced the top.

White settlers were waring upon the Indians long before we had a government. Government just followed the scent trail to the killing grounds to finish them off.

While not particularly significant as a cause, Governments involvement was to give license to what was in fact a long history of betrayal and murder.

They just brought the efficiency to the party. Now Government carries out the mandate of a people indifferent to what is good or just, bent upon their own enjoyment without regard to consiquinces....

In many areas animals do better by each other than we. But then, so do stones. A stone can not disgrace itself.
