Anyone else read Discover Magazine?

I am just curious. I used to read Popular Mechanics from cover to cover every month. But Joe Oldham retired and they got a new editor in chief and the magazine started looking more and more like Maxim. I didn't like it and let them know with my wallet. I cancled my subscription.

I tried reading Scientific America but it was way over my head. I tried Discover magazine and enjoyed it so much I subscribed. It is very informitive and educational but written so any layman can understand it. The only problem I have with it is my 10 year old grandson stealing it so he can read it first.

When I am done with the magazine I leave it in the deck decompresion chamber for the other divers to read while on deco. It has become a favorite of the other divers I work with. Almost everyone agrees that its articles have "meat" that you can get into, and not just the flash of other mags.

So, any fellow overclockers read this mag, or other informitave mags< and if so, which ones?

I read both Discover and Scientific American on occasion. I keep meaning to get a subscription to both, and I keep never doing it.

That and Dr. Dobb's Journal.

Dr. Dobbs Journal??? Is it a real publication I should look into (and if so where can I find it?) or is it about Steve?

My favorite was "Omni"

Anyone know if it is still in print?

Oh, it's a programming publication. You wouldn't have any interest in it.
