| Intel and PIPEX to start UK WiMAX ISP "Intel and PIPEX announced today that they have jointly formed PIPEX Wireless, a wireless operator which will provide broadband services in major metropolitan areas. These services are designed to meet the needs of consumers, enterprises and governments for wireless broadband, including citywide “hotspot” wireless access." More at Dark Vision Hardware This is interesting as it shows that intel is diversifying into other areas of computing, apart from chip production. It would be cool if AMD started up a rival ISP Company, although I must admit that I think it is unlikely as they don't have anywhere near the same resources that Intel does.
