It is very sad indeed, but i kinda knew it was gonna happen this way. He took alot of crazy risks when dealing with dangerous animals, and i knew it was just a matter of time before it killed him. At least he died doing what he loved to do. It really sucks that his two small children have to grow up without a dad now though.

On 4 September 2006, Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray barb, while off the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia while filming a segment for his daughter Bindi Irwin's (8 years old at the time) upcoming series. Irwin was in the area filming his own documentary, to be called Ocean's Deadliest, but weather had stalled filming. Irwin decided to take the opportunity to film some shallow water shots for his daughter's program. The BBC reported that this was only the second known fatality in Australian history from a stingray attack. The Sydney Morning Herald lists it as the third known death; the other two deaths being in 1938 and 1945.
Apparently it's extremely unlucky to be killed by a stringray, it must have pierced his heart from under his rib cage. This is so sad

This guy was the Daredevil in the flesh. He had guts.

And yeah, it was pretty unlucky how he died. But it was due to happen sooner or later. All superheroes die eventually.

I've already said it, but I'll say it again; G'bye, CrocMan, g'bye.

R.I.P.

My father got it from a stingray once. Whilst he was in hospital being treated, his brother went and registered it as a local record catch.

Very unusal to be killed by one.

Yeah, he did have a death wish but i think because he always seemed to get out of danger so easily it appeard he was some kind of superman and was presumed never to be beaten.
