gl & hf Viacom

If they all get removed they will only be replaced shortly.

It would seem free content is here to stay

Just thinking out loud here, but, if teretrial TV channels can be 100% paid for by advertising in their programs, why can't Internet TV channels be 100% paid for by advertising in their programs?

I would certainly like to be able to watch something like scrapheap challenge over the internet from Channel 4's website. And in principle it would work exactly like normal TV only the content is delivered via an alternate medium.

Does that make sense? It would certainly stop the media moguls getting uptight that people are stealing their content, while the general public can still watch their favourite programs over the internet.

A nice idea, but it's not 100% free

If all we wanted to do was distribute we could probably have access anyway we want it, But between us and our cultural heritage stand the money men, owning the world for better profits....standing between the artist and his audience and their intended rewards for her/his creation.
