AOA Files Team

I am reconstituting the AOAFiles Team.

Please note, this is not a criticism of those who have participated up to this point; it is simply a recognition of the fact that things change, and people who have been able to do more in the past are not now in a position to contribute in the same ways they used to. The fact is, AOAFiles would not be what it is today without the contributions of those who have since moved on for one reason or another. From time-to-time, however, it becomes necessary to prune the tree. Now is one of those times.

Anyone who wishes to be a member of the AOAFiles team has only to ask; membership in the team is open to all who wish to participate.

So, what do you gain by participating in the AOAFiles team?

• The right to spend your spare time tracking down files for the rest of the membership.
• The right to spend your spare time being sent on specific file gathering missions by me.
• The right to expend some of your precious bandwidth and time uploading files here, so that others may download them at their leisure.

Let me be clear on this:
Being a member of the Files team is not a privilege; it is a SACRIFICE! Being a Files team member says that you are willing to spend at least some of your spare time working for the benefit of your fellow members, for no benefit to yourself.

Actually I don't mind helping this quest at all. I just can't guarantee that I could do the daily grind. If things change, I will be happy to jump in with both feet. So Chris, are you in?

I have plenty to do, that is for sure. That is why I said I cannot take this on. FAH and front page are enough. I do stumble across some files often enough. So I will submit them more often....

I would love to help, however I'm not sure I would have enough time available for any large uploads with my rather shoddy 360Kb upload speed. If you do need something grabbed though always feel free to ask.

Thanks guys. Sorry I've not responded on this sooner. I've been away for the last week, and frankly I just missed the responses in this thread.

Right now our focus is on drivers for Windows Vista. Of course, ANYTHING that could be useful to our members is fair game (as long as it is legal to redistribute) but Vista drivers are what we are really hunting at the moment.

I would...but my woeful upload speed makes uploading anything substantial impossible. A 5mb MP3 takes 30 minutes....

I have installed Vista Home Basic on several PC's and I had problems mostly with onboard sound cards. The nice part was that after conecting them to the internet, Vista was downloading the sound drivers automatically!
