| Another shell game or voting security? Written by Daniel Friday, 11 May 2007 California Hammers on E-Voting Dark Reading MAY 10, 2007 | Debra Bowen is tired of all the hype about vulnerabilities in e-voting systems. And next week, she and a herd of researchers are going to do something about it. Bowen, the secretary of state for Calif., said yesterday that the state is ready to begin a "top-to-bottom review" of its using three teams of experts from universities and private companies all over the state. The researchers will review all of the data they can find about hacking electronic polling systems, and they will try to break into the systems themselves.... Front Page

| And if she were a Democrat, would you be complaining nearly as loudly? The fact is that the machines have cast votes for Dems as often as Reps; it's just that the votes cast for the Reps get the press. The fact also is that NEITHER party has a genuine interest in establishing the will of the people, they only want power. At any price.

| I think that New Mexico's, Florida's and Ohio's 2004 results show that it's the GOP that was favored. All the same, you're right. Shame on me for not realizing, once again, that both sides of the aisle are the same side of the coin. Corrupt bahstages without a care in the world for the little guy.

| www.blackboxvoting.org Check it out. Statistically, none of the parties have been favored in any systematic way by any intrinsic characteristic of the voting machines, and there have even been cases of independents being favored over the others (of course you don't hear about that, because THOSE stories would blow the hell out of the whole "Evil Republicans control the electronic voting machines" myth). Where there have been shenanigans pulled, they occured in the voting office, under the control of the voting officials. "In the absence of evidence, and sometimes even in the presence of contrary evidence, man will believe something either because he WANTS it to be true, or because he FEARS it to be true." There are lots of very, VERY GOOD reasons to not like the current electronic voting machines. Let's deal with those.

| Whenever one LEGALLY nails a Republican for a crime, a provable crime, the first thing out of Republican mouths is, we're no worse. They are, They are worse. They have spearhead every loss of rights, Every impoverishment, every reduction in education, ever loss in health care and destroyed our Military at a wonderful profit..to Halibuton. They have taken a balanced budget with a surplus (The evil Clinton) and impoverished the nation for at lest a generation. They set back Gay rights and appointed paedophiles to watch our kids on the net. 150 fake law school incompetents run the government courtesy of Pat Robinson U. (non accredited of course!)Law grads. We haven't seen the like of Gonzo ls sense , well since Nixon and Regan. Republicans worship the most indicted and most convicted administration of ALL TIME!. No Not that Pig Nixon, The great communicator! But Nixon IS second. Right now the CEO of Halibuton is Vice President and if you think he's in the middle East to further America's interest, you can't put two and two together. Right now the is 300,000 barrels of oil gone missing a day in Iraq. Dark water, the mercenary arm of Halibuton number over 150,000 min. (We pay for them BTW!) Republican's privatized then broke the US army and Marines, by the accounts of the US Army and Marines. There has never been an administration, not even Regan or Nixon that was so sold out before even taking office. Oil sits in the White house Gee whiz, why do you think Bush is willing to break his own party? Why is it that ever time he does something that hurts America and benefits Halibuton war we think he's just stupid? Do you think Chenny is that stupid? I do. But I think it's the stupidity of arrogance. because no matter what Halibuton does, Republican's will praise it until it pushes them right out of office. That's why Republican candidate are SO MUCH MORE corrupt, Republicans believe anything they are told by the Rich. Democrats DO represent the middle class, which is why they are so gutless. They have many contingency's to deal with and many possible platforms to choose from, The republicans but one. Tell them what their evil racist, anti-woman and anti gay fake Christian hearts want to hear while you take the money. It's hard to accomplishes anything with a diversity of views to consider, the narrowness of Republican goals has always been an advantage that offsets their minority. Republicans are historically very much more corrupt than Democrats and much more open about it, having a stupid contingency and a corrupt one IS a very GREAT advantage in taking bribes and doing favors! Democrats, where is their greatness? why do they fail so often? Well unlike Republicans who can agree on anything once the money hits the table, Demo, have to collect their money from many different interests. So I submit that Dems represent the public greed of the average man. they are of course corrupt. Yet the Republicans represent those who call themselves our masters and take us into unjust wars to kill off our patriots while we just stand and watch. "The class war is over, my class won." Dick Chenny No Dick head, the class war hasn't even started, which is why your stupid enough to think it won. The next face you blow off may be your own. The Demo are corrupt in my mind, but Republicans are pure evil in their parties intentions for mankind... unless global warming is just a theory...

| Daniel do me one favor, please? Take a look at the leadership in Chicago (or for that matter, Illinois). Take a look at the leadership in San Francisco. Take a look at the leadership in Washington D.C. Tell me that those DEMOCRATS are less corrupt than the Republicans. I can't find any evidence of it. The difference is that Republicans will tell you right up front that they are going to screw you over, but it's for the good of the country. Democrats will tell you that they aren't screwing you; what they are doing is really for your own good and you'll thank them later; you're just too stupid right now to understand it. As far as I'm concerned, I get the shaft in the bung-hole either way. The only difference is whether I know it's coming or not, and how much vaseline gets used. So PLEASE don't hand me this tripe about how the Dems are less evil than the Reps. Actions speak louder than words, and the actions of both parties indicate they will quite happily gut us and try not to get any mess on their shoes if it suits their purpose. As for the loss of rights, BOTH parties have taken them, they've just taken different portions of them. As for the military, BOTH parties have gutted the military, they've just done it in different ways. It just happens that the gutting of the military that the Dems have done is gutting you agree with because as a basic point of philosophy you abhor war and those who wage it; it just happens that the loss of rights the Dems have done is loss of rights you agree with because as a basic point of philosophy you believe the average person is too stupid to make their own choices.

| Daniel and I spoke on the phone earlier. Probably I need to settle down and take a valium or something. We both agree on the basic points, its just how to get there that we quibble over.

| I really should not have posted as I'm unwilling to pursue it. I will simply say that on a local level things vary for both parties. On The national level there is no comparison in the evil they do. Republicans don't even know the right lies to tell, can't even pretend to have us on the path to human good. The Great Republican hero was Regan, who when the entire world protested Nestle sending fake nurses to sell formula to new 2 nd world mothers that they KNEW would cause diarria and kill the babies. In addition to which they pressured mothers to buy it, forceing them to feed their other children less. Only one nation supported Nestles profit. The USA. The Great communicator saw clearly the principle involved and reasoned to a solution! "Let the market forces prevail" Yep that what he said when the Dem's tried to condemn Nestle with the rest of the world. The USA wouldn't enter into any stinking boycott! After that, why Republicans understood we were dealing with a moral giant! Someone who couldn't be deceived by sentimentality, someone in Nestle's pocket. Both parties are corrupt, but the republicans have nothing other than their corruption to recommend them. Remember when they were the financially Conservatives!!!??? What else did they ever have going for them... ? The Rich use the stupid against us, always have.
