Linkin Park

Is anyone here into these guys?

I've liked them since their first album and was wondering what you guys thought of they're new album?

Its definitely different from Hybrid Theory and Meteora but no more different than Meteora was to Hybrid Theory. I find that the more I listen to it, especially the lyrics I'm beginning to like it more and more.

They aren't bad, but there is very little music I dislike (with the exception of country and rap, if you can consider that music).

I like them as a general rule, I find the newer stuff (except for tracks 2 and 3) is very soft and not to my liking.

Their songs lack guitar solo's and general feel for the music, however their music can be quite catchy. Dream Theater rocks

I've always been a fan of LP.

Hybrid Theory and Meteora rocked. Every single song was awesome in it's own way.

But this new album is just pure suckage. I think LP have strayed too far from their expected music and just produced stuff that I don't like any more. ='(

I got most of their albums i quite like some of John Petrucci's solo work such as Glasgow Kiss and damage control which are from his album called Suspended Animation, he's extremely talented. Jordan Rudess is behind DT's pregressional rock sound too with his brilliant solo's and rythm work.

DT songs i love:
As I Am
Lines In The Sand
Pull Me Under
Erotomania
plus loads more...

LP's new album isnt bad....

Hybrid Theory I liked more than Meteora
The Rising tide wasnt too shabby.

I've seen them live, and chester is by far probably one of the best live vocalists in terms of screaming I've heard period (and I've heard alot)

LP is alright... this album wasnt meant to be the alternative metal like HT. the lyrics are what you need to pay attention too.

sabbath wasnt bad; you can't listen to straight metal... thats kinda sick.

I realize how talented some are, but its just not appealing to the ear from time to time

Cant say that I am a fan of Linkin Park. They annoyed me ever since I first heard them. I have given each single a chance, but I just cant like them. Props to them for doing what they do and making money, other than that I have no other good stuff to say about em. Never got into the likes of Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Korn, Slipknot etc etc etc... Like pretty much any other band from swing to hiphop to classic to rawkkk
