Google are giving MFA sites the chop

This is good news! What took them so long?

Google AdSense are currently terminating lots of accounts. Sites which are getting the chop are know as MFA sites. MFA means Made For Adsense.

They've made no official announcement, but many people are reporting that they've been given notice of termination. June 1st is the big cut-off day.

MFA sites often look like directories or search engine, but pretty much every link on the page is a sponsored link.

Here's an example:
http://searchaxe.com/

It looks like their account has already been terminated. If you do a search, the results are now just blank white space, where there was once a load of Google Ads.

Most likely the owner of that site is now filling out job applications for shelf stacking.

Hopefully the slurry of spam sites on the net will diminish. Let's hope Yahoo, etc. don't allow them to open ad publisher accounts!

They could have pulled the plug on these sites a long time ago. The only explanation for them not doing so, would be because they were making money out of them. Meanwhile, advertisers would have been funding all this, some being unaware that their money was being thrown away on poor quality traffic.
