i started that class i was asking about a few months back

so far its really cool i'm glad i took it and i'm planning on getting a+ and n+ certified next semester. the class is pretty much just information about how the i.t. world works and what certificates you need to get what kind of jobs.

Now, here's the thing: some of us can only learn by doing, while the rest of us can learn by reading or be taught by someone else. However, how determined we are to learn is a big factor as well.

So, can you only learn by doing, or are you able to learn by reading or by sitting in the classroom?

If the ONLY way you can learn is by doing, then you are wasting your time with the class. If you already know the topic, then you are wasting your time with the class.

Those two scenarios are the ONLY places I can see that it would be a waste of your time. Even if this is something that you don't think will be of practical benefit to you as a vocation, learning something new is ALWAYS beneficial; it keeps your mind agile.

Remember that; learning something new is NEVER a waste of time.
as gizmo said about learning with or without doing my teaching made it real clear that every class is half and half with doing and listening. my teacher is reall smart and very easy going, and he teaches all the classes i want to take.

Always good to see someone enjoy learning

I have decided to give up with formal educational facilities. Learning on the job is much better for me, I remember it better that way.
