| The Amazing Mr. Bonds. Mr. Barry Bonds is making a case for himself as the greatest left fielder who has ever lived. I don't know how many of you follow baseball, but after last years record breaking season (he broke about a half dozen records), Barry Bonds has hit 4 homeruns in 2 games in a notorious pitcher's park. The only real competition he has for the title of greatest left fielder ever is Ted Williams, he of the .406 batting average (the last time anyone hit over .400). Baseball sabermetricians give Bonds something like a 45% chance of breaking Hank Aaron's record too. Given Bonds current run and his incredible physical condition for a man his age, I would say the only thing that would stop him would be a career ending injury. Given his willfulness though, maybe not even that. Anyway, baseball fans should rejoice at being able to watch the most gifted player of the last 50 years playing at a previously believed untenable level.
