| Interesting. I'm glad they mentioned Venus, as Venus very clearly IS a case of thermal runaway. Obviously, there is a tipping point beyond which the supposed negative feedback mechanisms get over-ridden. In addition, while it is is nice to have a theoretical model that predicts Martian atmospheric effects as well as Terran, it is important to note that Earth is NOT Mars. Among other things, Mars has essentially no water vapor in the atmosphere, which is the biggest contributor to the greenhouse effect on Earth. I look forward to seeing what further research reveals.
