help

im having a crisis,

well i say that

i just passed my bike test, (the proper one) and on ebay is an identical bike to the one i did my test on but, for want of a better term, pimped, i.e, really nicely painted and cool looking, its a one off.

bike will cost probably 1400 quid, plus 300 quid extra on my insurance.

i could get it, but thats the money i was gona get a car with, i duno what to do, a car would be usefull for work, but thats gona cost a bloody fortune, and i do already have a bike, its just uter crap, to the poeint you cant go down the a40 (50mph road to the yanks) cos it cant keep up, at all

but i really want it, and have been pacing in my house for the last 2 hours

penny for your thoughts

A car is definitely more practical, this is London where it's fair and warm nearly every day of the year. The great majority of the fair sex like a ride in a car, but not all of them are happy to hop on a bike. I vote for the car.

Get a cheaper, working (capable of 70mph) bike. Ride that while saving up for your car. Get a car, drive that while saving up for the bike of your dreams

I used to be well in to bikes, I'd love to get one again. But, I don't miss skidding on my ass on tarmac in the rain.

I have a project to finish up before I can begin my bike project but hopefully in a few months I can start.

I'm doing a little mix of the old and new HD, using an old hard tail frame with a fuel injected, turbocharged evo engine, no front fender, drag bars, single seat with a fender pad. It will be a long project but I will post pics when I start..
