| Looks like they got a better deal this way, now they don't have to ship the baby, or deal with a possible chargeback..

| I "Think" I head this from "Metamora" a fragment from my recollection: "Today is the day they give babies away with half a pound of tea, so if you know any ladies who want any babies just send them round to me." A' new mothers" lullaby sung to their sleeping infants. My friends this be a very old sentiment and we mostly must assume it griped our own dear mothers a time or two! ":O} I feel it should be pointed out that Historically speaking, the market in babies has never been brisk, most mothers remain condemed to rase us themselves and pretented we were a "Blessing"...but which of us were!!?? LOL

| One of Americas Greats Mark Twain had a child rearing philosiphy I can get behind. It's something like this: On the day of the childs birth, you place them inside a wooden whiskey barrel. You feed them through the bung and on their 18th birthday you look into the barrel and decide to open it--or drive in the bung. He was a great man.

| Was reading that it now costs about £187,000 ($300,000) to raise a child in the U.K., on average.
