Don't know about insignificant, he did leave a mark. His business practices overshadowed his contributions and only having himself to compete with left a lot to be desired..

Believe me, just because he won't be going into the MS office everyday doesn't mean he still won't have complete control over the company!!!
He will just do it from the comfort of his home...

In the tradition I follow, One gains significance, when one rises above. When one over comes one's own self and and establishes a just mean in one's own life. Bill wanted what all men want. Bill cared about what any man can care about. Given unfettered opportunity, Bill was utterly unable to control himself, utterly unable to establish a connection to a just middle way that might guide him.

In Washington state alone there are thousands as greedy, tens of thousands as selfish, who knows how many as un-insightfully evil...What else do we personally know Bill for? Making money? Almost everyone wants to do that anymore... nothing special there...."The dumbest farmer gets the biggest patatos" (German folk saying) He made more money than most... yet the amount never became suffienct... I've met hundreds who always want more! LOL


What did Bill ever risen above? I say, here is a man who has completely succumb to this world. Here is a man who is but the pawn of of his own twisted desire to own this world..."A world he can see, but just can not touch.."

It's me or Bill. Only one of us can possibly be right about the right way to live. In my View Bill is an insignificant man. He has not one thing to teach this world and has harmed many who did. The best of those he harmed will rise above him and attain significance before gods and men... and over time teach us a better way to measure men, a better way to live. ":O}

We may be disagreeing on that other guy less everyday, the balance shifts towards my disappointment...He took their money, he failed to protect us from FISA abuse...how can one any longer trust him?

No, I can't say that I do. What does what I said have to do with religion, or tradition?

Sorry... Every tradition establishes an ideal for man. Those who follow a tradition will have within that tradition the guidelines by which men are...or in some cases are not... to be judged.

My guidelines were taught to me by my tradition. Others following the same tradition would come to much the same judgment and for much the same reasons...

If we walk the same mountain path, the same spots are dangerous to everyone, these traditions tend to outline points of moral danger. They disagree very little over all... So much so that in my view a Good Jew has more in common with a good Muslim than he does with a bad Jew... But Jews and Muslims might not agree...LOL

Ok, I should have said it clear too. Each of us is judged by others and they all, each one have a different viewpoint to base his judgement from. It can be very minor, or very extreme. What I did't say is those judgements matter only in this life time and only the value you place on it.
Only one judgement has real meaning.

I can't say that I'm happy that he's living down to my expectations.....I really wanted to be wrong....

I don't think any of us here measure a man differently, it may come down to our understanding and faith in the human race or possibly how much a person lets slide in the name of a good cause.

I spent many years of my life doing harm to others and our planet, I never claimed to be right, and never expected anyones respect or understanding for it. It was what it was..

These days I spend time trying to undo some of the harm and move forward with other ideas. I still race my cars, but do so on alternative fuels, methanol being my fuel of choice. I work to make my engines more efficient to decrease the impact. I also experiment with alternatives for my daily drivers, CNG and Hydrogen being my current projects, As these projects come together and are proven you will see and hear about them from me.. Maybe when I die I will have done more good than harm all around, that's about the best I can do and still live my life the way I am happy.
