The bombing has begun

The US has now begun its attack on Afghanistan.

I for one have seen NO proof that Bin Laden IS guilty of bombing WTC - I sure hope the US military knows what it is doing.

but there is SOOOO much info that we will never see or hear about but if our gov. is bombing ,LOOK OUT cuz I think it is going to be a long process and the retaliation is going to be severs in my opinion

If this goes on for maore than a year, which I think it will, it means that civilian lives will be lost and that would mean that no matter who wins (assuming that you can win a war) will lose what they were trying to make safe in the first place. This has now become a no win senario for the US.

For me, as an American, this is kind of a bitter sweet day. I'm happy that we are putting an end to terrorism, I'm happy that we are making an example out of these terroists. On the other hand, I feel bad for the innocents that will be harmed. I think the US government was between a rock and a hardplace on this one, and I think I would have made the same decision if it were mine to make.

I just seen a statement from bin Laden him self were he all but took responsibility for the attack on the wtc ..or at least that was the interpretation ??

I for one am glad to see this get under way, the longer this wound is left to fester the longer it will take to heal ..if they are allowed to attack without fear of reprisal the attacks will be come more and more frequent and unlike the US and its allies they care not who they kill

I think the video will convince anyone who was sitting on the fence trying to decide If bil Ladin was involved or not. We don't know exactly when it was made but I think he does a good job of implicating himself in the WTC attacks.

Yeah. It's been on all the news channels here. The attacks started at night, but the video appears to have been made during the day. Noone knows when it was made though. It just appeared. Kind of weird, if you ask me.

Essentially he said that the West or America or whoever won't know peace as long as the Palestinians are suffering. Something about it being the west against Islam.

I can only take so much of these news channels and kind of tune them out. They really drag simple things out in order to fill time when all they had to say was that the bombing had started, it is Britain and the US with Russia's blessing and Bin Laden and the Taliban aren't happy about it.

Being 14, 15 in April, I don't like the idea of a prolonged war. I hope that this is handled by the special forces and they simply take out the Taliban and Bin Laden.

Being 18 and 19 in january I really don't like the thought of a prolonged war.
Unfortunately if they take to the mountains then the chances of actually aprehending him without massive casualties are slim
