I've had a couple of them in the past. For certain tasks, they're great, but don't expect a 100% increase in speed. You would also need a multi-CPU aware OS, like WinXP Pro or Win2K.

Yes it isnt a 100% increase in speed. but you can do more than DOUBLE the amount of things on it at the same time without it slowing down

I'll have a PIII 800 dualie system as of tomorrow, so believe me, ya'll will probably be hearing "Help!!" fairly often for a little bit

Had one a couple of years ago and have considered another since amd is fairly reasonable but won't make a move until I have a better feel for what is coming down the pike early next year.

Id love to be running a M762A with dual Xp-2400 @ 2.5gig watercooled at 166fsb, unfortunately by bank manager wouldt be too pleased
