FYI..Servers Down AGAIN!

I woke up this morning to find that 2 machines were acting goofy. They both completed a WU and were try to get more work. I haven't gotten credit and was getting quite annoyed.

I checked statsman, and NO TEAMS are getting any credit for anything as of the 6am update (EST).

So no credit and no work, for now. Hopefully, this will get sorted out soon.

SteveI.

That explains why I haven't been able to connect to the server all day here at the university. I was hoping to grab a unit but had no luck.

I can sympathize with that Lionfish. Just about all last week was a real pain for me as far as folding goes. The saving grace is that I went and deleted the clients I had on every box and reloaded it in hopes it would get things right. Even the boxes that were doing good work got the treatment. As of right now I think everything is hummimg along fine for now. God I hope it is.

Hang tough !!! The team needs you and the work you do.

AMEN.
I've just about had enough... I took the day off today to spend time with the kids.. Of course, the fedex guy came with a little palamino. Spent about 6 hours proving that the CPU is DOA...

Borrowed a friends system. Used his CPU - my system works. Used the pali in his - no go. !@!^@$^%%#@

My best system is off line for 2 more weeks while I RMA this @#$&*&!*@!!!!.

Good thing I have a back up, and a back up for the back up, and even my kid's machine... Right now it's laugh or cry.

Sorry, back to the subject, all three of my working machines were sitting.... about 15 CPU hours....on top of lost WUs, and tons of lost partial WUs caused by reboots trying to deal with my mess.

I think I need to get away from my PCs... I leave 'em folding over the weekend, but I will not even look to see if they're working.

SteveI.

This is were I'm at right now. If you worry about folding, it can be quite stressful. But if you just let it do it's thing, life is much more enjoyable, or so I've found. I havn't even checked the stats in a week . . . I think I'll go do that now, probably phiber is whipping my butt, but I'm not worried about it, got too much else to worry about . . .

had some trouble getting work also. since i'm out of town till Tuesday, i shut my systems down. it's good to get away from the
pc's for a while. i would like to let them run and not look at them
like steveI. next weekend when i'm closer to home.
hang in there guys/gals. i realize we didn't sign on as beta testers and working around bugs in any progy is a pain. i know i
can't do squat with code so i'll use what can. i'd rant about the server being down, if it would help. i will keep on folding and learning how to get my pc's doing the best that i can. thanks for all of your help

It's not the stats that are getting to me. It's my main machine. I just pieced it together into a Duron at almost a gig (was thrilled), when I killed it...waited anxiously for a week for an XP (I had to create a silver lining)... now I have to wait the better part of 2 weeks to get this DOA pony replaced.... This is what got to me. Folding is a thorn in my side atm. (still have 3 dogs chewing on it tho).

GRRRRR!

ouch, thats gotta hurt. i too get a case of the red *ss when i have to wait for something to be replaced. and yes, not the stats
rather the parts of the folding progy that keep the whole from working to its potential. i did run into that SLOOOOWDOOOOWN
described in another thread. my cele 566@850(backed off some from 960) had been on a 1000 frame villian for 20+hrs and not
finished. will start up when i get back home.

Now if he had a real CPU, T-bird [AMD] it would not have taken so long, watch out
